Course Overview

Get a license to carry a firearm in 31 states! Our Utah CCW Class will qualify you to receive a Utah nonresident firearms license. Live fire shooting included as required by the state of Florida.

If you ever need to be recertified, retake the class for free. This license will enable you to carry a concealed handgun in the following states: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Georgia, Indiana, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, Wyoming. During the class we will provide you with everything you need to complete your application at no additional charge: photograph, fingerprints, copy of your driver’s license, and mailing envelope.

*You can also use this class to apply for Florida license. Florida law requires live fire be included in the class. At MFS we include live fire shooting no additional charge.

*Massachusetts residents do not need a firearms license to qualify for this permit.

What is your “Certification For Life™” program all about?

Mass State Police training certificates do not have an expiration date. However, some cities and towns require the certificates to be less than one year old when the student applies for their license. A few cities and towns will only accept certificates less than six months old. Further, other towns (thankfully a small number) will make you retake the class every time you renew your license.

All this is why our “Certification for Life™” program is so valuable. If you take a MFS Mass Basic Firearms Safety Class, and your city or town requires you to retake the class, we will let you take it again for free. To add even more value to our classes, we also allow you to take a free refresher class every 3 years. Programs like this are why so many police departments recommend MFS to their local residents.

I have extensive experience with firearms. Do I have to take the MA Basic Safety Course?

Yes…everyone has to take the class. While you may have previous experience with handling firearms the complexity of Mass firearms law necessitates that you take the class.

Should I wear special clothing for my course?

No. Our indoor facilities are temperature-controlled and comfortable year-round.
